How to Schedule
PSI administers both the CSFA and CST examinations. Once you receive your Authorization To Test (ATT) letter, you may contact PSI/AMP by one of the below methods. Be prepared to confirm a date and location for testing and to provide your candidate identification number as your unique identification number.
The examinations are administered by appointment only Monday through Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Individuals are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
When the appointment is made, the candidate will be given a time to report to the Assessment Center. Please make a note of it since a confirmation letter will not be sent. The candidate will only be allowed to take the examination for which the appointment has been set for. No changes in examination type will be made at the Assessment Center. UNSCHEDULED CANDIDATES (WALK-INS) WILL NOT BE ADMITTED to the Assessment Center.
You should schedule a test as soon as you receive your Authorization to Test letter from NBSTSA, even if you do not want to test immediately. You must take the examination before the expiration date provided on your Authorization to Test letter or forfeit your examination fee.
The candidate may schedule an examination appointment online at any time by using PSI’s online scheduling service at schedule.psiexams.com. To use this service, follow these easy steps:
- Go to schedule.psiexams.com and select “Candidates.”
- Follow the simple, step-by-step instructions to choose your examination program and schedule the examination.
Schedule by Telephone
Call PSI/AMP at 833-256-1425 to schedule an examination appointment. This toll-free number is answered from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time) Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
A candidate may reschedule an examination appointment at no charge ONCE by calling PSI/AMP at 833-256-1425 at least two business days prior to the scheduled testing session. IMPORTANT: Failure to show for a scheduled examination appointment will result in forfeiture of total paid testing fees and necessitate reapplying for your examination and resubmission of testing fees.
A candidate who wishes to reschedule his/her examination appointment, but fails to contact PSI/AMP at least two business days prior to the scheduled testing session will forfeit the total testing fees and will need to reapply with the NBSTSA to get a new authorization letter. Failure to call to cancel an examination will result in loss of testing fees.
Inclement Weather, Power Failure or Emergency
In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies on the day of an examination, PSI/AMP will determine whether circumstances warrant the cancellation, and subsequent rescheduling, of an examination. The examination will usually not be rescheduled if the Assessment Center personnel are able to open the Assessment Center. If power to an Assessment Center is temporarily interrupted during an administration, your examination will restart where you left off and you may continue the examination.
Candidates may contact PSI/AMP’s Weather Hotline at 800-380-5416 (24 hours/day) prior to the examination to determine if PSI/AMP has been advised that any Assessment Centers are closed. Every attempt is made to administer the examination as schedule; however, should an examination be canceled at an Assessment Center, all scheduled candidates will receive notification following the examination regarding rescheduling or reapplication procedures. If PSI/AMP is unable to honor your appointment, the test will be rescheduled to the first available appointment of your choice (within the selected quarter). Applicants provide a primary phone number during the registration process so test administrators can contact them in case of an unforeseen problem at the center.
NOTE: This policy related solely to problems at the Assessment Center. If you cannot make an appointment, you must notify the center within two business days before the scheduled testing date.
